Matte it down

Today I experimented with matte polish and I'm pretty happy with the result. I started with a base color of L'Oreal Club Prive and then used french nail tape on the base of my finger and applied Julep Amber on top. Julep Amber is a suede matte polish in a gold color that came in my Maven box this month, its pretty awesome. I then topped it off with Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love. I'm pretty much in love with this manicure, and I'm excited it turned out decent :) Have a happy Thanksgiving!

L'Oreal Colour Riche in Boozy Brunch

Happy Friday everyone! I get so excited when Friday rolls around, its the end of my work week, and beginning to my weekend! Today I have for you a new brand I haven’t tried before, L’Oreal Colour Riche in Boozy Brunch. The name alone made me smile, reminded me of a mimosa on a Sunday morning :) The color in this polish is beautiful, it’s an orange crème, close to being almost neon but not quite there. I wish I would have found this in the summer time but I think you can wear any color any time of the year. Have a safe weekend!

KB Shimmer Oh Splat!

One of my favorite indie polishes is a brand called KB Shimmer. She has a great Fall collection out right now and is debuting her Winter collection this Wednesday 11/15. You can see her available polishes here. She also has wonderful smelling soaps and bath scrubs so check her out!

Today I have on Oh Splat! from her Fall collection. This is probably one of my favorite right now. I'm a huge fan of white jelly bases so this is on the money. The different sized glitters and colors made this polish really fun.

Color Club Ho-Ho-Holly

I am a huge University of Oregon fan so I thought my first nail post could be Duck related. While at Sally’s, I picked up an awesome green foil shimmery polish by Color Club called Ho-Ho-Holly. This polish is part of their 2012 Winter Affair collection, there are 6 shades total and they’re all gorgeous. I decided to use Sephora’s OPI Its Real 18k Gold top coat to complete my Oregon look. I’m so loving these nails right now! They look killer in the sunlight too!

Hi there! My name is Raquel and this would be my very first blog! I've been wanting to start one for a while and I finally pulled the trigger and did it! My main reason for creating a blog was for my nails. I am a nail polish junkie and I love showing them off. I spend a lot a of time doing my nails over and over and wanted to share them with the world! Since I am new to blogging, please bare with me and let me know if you have any questions or suggestions! Thanks and enjoy!
