Mish Mash Challenge - Holographic (ILNP Ultra Holo)

Hello there! I'm back this morning with this weeks Mish Mash Challenge. I was really excited for this weeks theme of holographic! I had a few that I needed to try and of course I went for I Love Nail Polish Blue Steel Ultra holo.

I absolutely LOVE these Ultra Holos! I had a hard time capturing the amazingness of this due to poor weather. But still....the blue on this one was so pretty. Not too dark, but not too light. Check out the other challenge manis below and have a great Sunday!

MMC - Blue (Glam Polish)

Hello there! I'm back with a challenge post this week for the Mish Mash Challenge! This weeks theme is blue so I decided to go with a recent favorite indie polish, Glam Polish in Nickle Nackle.

Inside Photo
I picked up this beauty from Color4Nails. If you haven't checked out the site, its a must! This was the only Glam Polish I got from the shop and I'm wishing I purchased more! I freaking love the color and the glitters used in this polish. Application was simple and easy with no issues, I was extremely happy.

I sealed the deal with some Seche Vite and called it good. I'm pretty much in love with this color :)

Check out the other ladies below and have a fantastic week!

ABC Challenge - Z is for Zoya

Happy Hump day! I can't believe that we're at the end of the ABC Challenge! It's been awesome getting to know the ladies who participated and seeing what kind of amazing artwork can happen using nail polish. You ladies are truly an inspiration!

Now on to the super simple Z manicure, Z is for Zoya. I went with Zoya Rocky because I have become OBSESSED with this color, its pretty much all Ive been wearing since I got it. The blue is the prefect shade, it actually reminds me of the blue skies back home in Oregon.

Well, I am off to an MLS soccer game to cheer on my Real Salt Lake and to enjoy the beginning of my 4-day weekend! Don't you just love a holiday?!

Splatter Manicure

Happy Friday! I am so happy the week is over, its been a long one for sure! Today I have something I think I am going to try more often. I decided to use my lovely base from Wednesday's challenge to attempt a splatter manicure. I've seen it on several blogs and its been on my list of nail art to try for a few months now. I'm actually pretty impressed with the way it turned out!

My base is Essie Mojito Madness and for my splatter I used Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear in White On and Blue Me Away. I had a few bubbles pop up with the white polish, but I think over all it turned out awesome. I used 2 coats KB Shimmer Clearly On Top for my top coat. I have to say it's my new favorite top coat, it has great application and dries quickly.

After looking at this manicure for a while it kind of reminded me of the earth, you know, blue - ocean, green - land, white - clouds. Am i right....or could I just be seeing things?? ;)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

ABC Challenge - C is for Cha Cha Twist

Happy hump day! For the letter C, I thought I would go with a polish I have not worn in a long time, All That Glitters Cha Cha Twist. This polish has a blue jelly base packed with blue, black, aqua and red glitters in all shapes and sizes! It definitely has some bling to it and I love the color on my hands. I did about 3-4 coats to get full coverage on the nails and it dries fast. I can’t wait to see what everyone else in the challenge has today!

Saran Wrap Mani using American Apparel Sheer

Hello! To start my week I thought I would try something I've seen around for a bit now, the saran wrap mani. This was my first attempt and I think it came out pretty good! I followed this tutorial I found on YouTube from Chelsea at Get Nailed and it couldn't have been easier. For my base I used American Apparel Sheer in Zuma Beach. I then used American Apparel Sheer in Moonlight Beach for the top. I'm pretty excited about how it came out. This was such an easy manicure I'll probably do it more often.  I cant wait to play around with some other colors and see what kind of combinations I can come up with. Have a wonderful week!
