Try It On Tuesday - Clown Puke

Hello people! Happy Tuesday! Today is kind of like my "Friday"...tomorrow is a state holiday, Pioneer Day! What is Pioneer Day you might ask? I have no freaking clue! I've had the unfortunate pleasure of living in Utah for 6 years now and I think I first heard about this holiday maybe 3 years ago. I think...I think...it may be when the Pioneers settled in Utah, I could be wrong though. I just celebrate the fact that my company uses this day as a PAID holiday, so I have no problem taking full advantage.

OK, on to the polish right?! For today's TIOT I've got on  KB Shimmer Clown Puke over Sally Hansen White On. Clown Puke is an amazing awesome glitter packed top coat that pretty much rocks my socks off. It was so much fun watching new glitters show up on each nail. The KB Shimmer website says that this polish has over 100 different glitters which is mind blowing to think about!

Super pretty right?! So much glitter...and I probably could have used more, but I didn't want to over do it. I know the more glitter I used, the harder it would be to take off :) Plus I only got a mini bottle so heavens forbid I use it all. Well I am off to see a movie, I hope each of you have an awesome week!

Mint Manis for Talia Joy

This week the beauty community lost a beautiful and talented young lady named Talia who touched everyone's heart. Today, we remember her by posting mint manis and to celebrate the life of someone so beautiful inside and out. I'm going to keep this post short and sweet so here is my mint mani, KB Shimmer That's Mint.

Remember when times get tough, and you feel like you just cant go on anymore, think of Talia and #justkeepswimming. RIP pretty lady.

ABC Challenge - Y is for Yellow

Yay for Wednesday! It's time for another challenge post and I've got something that I am so proud of to show you today. I've tried to do the ombre or gradient technique for a while now, never seeming to get it right. Determined to make it work, I took some advise from my best friend and then watched this tutorial. I was pretty confident after the video that I COULD do this. Obviously since this weeks letter is Y, I decided to go with the color Yellow. I went into my stash and found 3 amazingly beautiful yellows and then began to create what I am now so freaking proud of.

TA-DA!

For this beauty I started with a white base, White On by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear. I then used three yellows, Sinful Colors Unicorn, Julep Daisy and Zoya Darcy. I topped it off with some KB Shimmer Clearly On Top. AHHHHH I LOVE IT! Its the little things in life that make me happy. ABC Challenge - W is for Watermelon

Good Morning! Today I'm excited to show you some nail art that I'm pretty proud of. First off, I need to give credit where its due, my boyfriend gave me the idea to do Watermelon for the W challenge this week. I came up with the design on my own and couldn't be more proud of my result.

I used Essie Ole Caliente for my base and then mixed Essie Mojito Madness and Lime Crime Pastelchio for the green tips. I went with a black nail pen for the seeds and then used KB Shimmer Clearly on Top to seal it. I am in love with how it came out! I think its perfect for the start of summer time. I actually ended up going out and buying a watermelon after I did these bad boys, made me hungry looking at them!

ABC Challenge - S is for Stripes

Happy Friday! I'm so excited its finally the weekend. All I have to do is get through a short day at work and then it's fun time! For the ABC Challenge this week, I decided to go with stripes for S.

I went with all Julep polish in Sasha, Daisy and Claire and then sealed it with KB Shimmer Clearly On Top. Pretty sweet huh?! When I layered the blue over the yellow I ended up getting a green color which I thought was pretty awesome, totally unexpected.

ABC Challenge - K is for KB Shimmer

Happy Friday! I am so excited to get my weekend started! I've got tickets to see Imagine Dragons tonight and have been patiently waiting all day and its almost time to get going! For the ABC Challenge this week I've got K is for KB Shimmer. As I have said before, she is probably my all time favorite indie. You could call me a little obsessed. The color I have for you today is called Sugar Plum Faerie. Its a beautiful plum purple colored jelly packed with tons of glitter as usual. What I love about this one is the green glitter, it makes the color really pop.

ABC Challenge - J is for Jelly Sandwich

Hello Everyone! Another new one for me this week with the ABC Challenge, J is for Jelly Sandwich! I had to search for a good sheer polish that would go great with a new glitter polish I received by KB Shimmer called Pastel Me More. I ended up using Sally Hansen Complete Manicure in Pink Slip. I fell in love with this from the minute I layered on the last coat of polish. Its a great color combination and really makes the pastels come out in the glitter. Totally happy with this manicure! What do you think?!

ABC Challenge - H is for Hex Appeal

Hello out there! For the ABC Challenge last week, we had to come up with something that began with H. I have quite a few untried nail polish to go through, several of them being from one of my favorite indies KB Shimmer. For today, I have KB Shimmer Hex Appeal. I don't know why I wanted so long to try this one out. Its packed with glitter and has a dark blue jelly base. I wore this on its own and couldn't stop staring at my hands. I highly recommend this if you LOVE GLITTER :) Until next time!

My Christmas Manicure

I want to start off by saying, I love this manicure! It’s fun and it sparkles! I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On as my base then topped it off with KB Shimmer Wrappers Delight. The combination together is beautiful and looks killer in the sunlight. Wrappers Delight is packed with gold, green and red glitters, BEAUTIFUL!

Nail Polish Procrastination

Hello! So for the last few weeks I have been trying to rehab my nails. I broke a few in the process of doing some Black Friday shopping and they looked terrible. They still do but not as bad as before. Ive been trying to work out a fun manicure for this weekend (Its my birthday on the 13th) and I came up with something pretty basic. Most likely I'll end up changing it before Thursday. I can never decide what I want to do.

But here ya go! I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pink Slip as my base, its a super sheer light pink color. I had to use 3 coats to get full coverage, it almost looks white. And then for my accent color I used KB Shimmer Berry Christmas from her Holiday Collection. I love this polish, I love anything that KB Shimmer puts out, but this one is so beautiful! Its a pinkish/red polish packed with tiny red glitters and some hint of purple glitters in between. SO BEAUTIFUL!

KB Shimmer Oh Splat!

One of my favorite indie polishes is a brand called KB Shimmer. She has a great Fall collection out right now and is debuting her Winter collection this Wednesday 11/15. You can see her available polishes here. She also has wonderful smelling soaps and bath scrubs so check her out!

Today I have on Oh Splat! from her Fall collection. This is probably one of my favorite right now. I'm a huge fan of white jelly bases so this is on the money. The different sized glitters and colors made this polish really fun.
